5 things your Mom says when you turn 25

Girl or boy, doesn't really matter! As we grow up, our parents do and their expectations too. From solapur wali Massi to Pados ke Sharma ji, everyone starts taking interest in your life as if your life was the only thing that mattered to them the most, nor Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Global Warming, Floods, Tsunami, Earthquake, nothing! Only your life. Well, with great power comes great responsibilities. So at 25, managing your life is no less than managing a country. Here are some 5 weird, funny, bizarre, sometimes or i guess always illogical things, Mothers say to us in our 20s.

1. Shadi Karlo Beta

I know, for girls specially, this sentence is very usual. And now specially in this thing, everyone is this world is interested except you. Same like Salman Khan. For me, I went through a rigorous Marriage Training Program, whose certificate, which my Mom is supposed to give me, at the end of the program and which has yet not ended. Sad. But according to her, this program will make me a complete marriage material and ready to be a bride and handle responsibilities. Well, the only sole purpose or the major specialization of this program is COOKING. yes, Pakao! Cooking for me is like, the topic of marriage for Salman. We AVOID it. But, as i said, it is supposed to fetch me my credits and yeah finally my certificate. Whenever I am home, I am on a cooking internship, where of course, there's no stipend, but a "sabzi acchi bani hai compliment" from Dad and a "Beta, tumse na ho paega" from Mom.

2. Comparison with XYZ aunty's daughter/son

This is actually quite normal since our teens and we are used to it. But after teenage, one more comparison adds on and that's Shaadi. My mom and I are on a gossip spree when I am home. And then in our conversation this AUNTY (the one who should not be named) comes and the whole conversation turns into a monologue from where I can not opt out. Forget me, even my Dad and Brother cannot opt out. And the things start. Tujhe pata hai, xyz aunty ki beti kal hi Malaysia jake aayi, suna hai company walo ne bheja tha, wo xyz uncle ke bete ne to unhe Flat le diya hai Pune me, and Wo pados wale uncle ki beti ki shadi me gaye the hum, wah kya sanskari damad hai unka, matlab shadi ho to aisi and so on.....

3. If you are still studying in your 25

Now, this is quite similar to my case, rather it's my case. I am still studying and my parents are usually worried with my placements and yeah, my Marriage. They have a whole intact 2 year plan in their head as soon as I am graduated. I wonder Neeti Ayog should come sometime and see my parents. Beta, naukri kab lagegi and Shadi kab karegi are two pertinent questions always bombed at me when I am home for holidays.

4. When your parents are also on Social Media

I know some of us are suffering a lot because of the smartphones that our parents are not only using but using it as a destructive weapon to invade our Social media lives. TVF's Tech conversation with parents is a damn good series, you will relate to it more than any other thing. Parents, by sending us friend requests on every small big social websites and urging rather ordering us to accept that, are now monitoring every single activity. They send you Hi, like your Photos, forward wise thoughts messages and what not.The latest is, my Mom asking, no, ordering me to change my Whatsapp Display Pics, just only because she doesn't like it. Instead, she sends me pictures of cute ugly fatty babies to put up as my Display Picture. Remove that Photo, Rishtedar dekhenge to kya bolenge, Wo chacha ki friend request bhi accept kar lena, Untag that person, remove that tweet......aaahhhhhh, give me a break!

5. This will never Go

Be 10 or 25, we will be small adorable kids for them. But yeah, itna bada Ghoda hogaya hai, shoe ki lace nahi bandh sakta and  Umar badh rahi hai aur Akal ab tak aaayi nahi will go on. They expect you to be responsible but they never let the child die inside you. They may yell at you at home for being nothing still at 25, but, outside, for them, you mean pride to them.

This 5 little funny sarcastic sayings from your parents, hope has taken you on troll sometimes.
As we say, Just For Fun.
